Have you got what it takes?

The current school council will be retiring this week. I’m sure everyone will agree that all the school council representatives┬ádid a fantastic job. Their achievements include:

  • New toys for all classes (for wet play times)
  • A new after school club
  • Designing a new anti-bullying leaflet for the school
  • Currently in negotiations for an annual football tournament

Phew! All of these things in under a term and a half! Amazing! Thank you to each and everyone of you for your hard work and commitment. Without you these things would not have been possible.

After half term we will be recuiting new representatives to form a new school council. You will have to attend school council meetings at lunch times once a fortnight, or sometimes weekly if there is a special project to complete (they usually last around half an hour). You will find out your class member’s views about our school and take notes of any opinions or suggestions they have ready to share at school council meetings. So, have a think over half term…..have you got what it takes to be a school council rep?

It’s snow joke!

Sloppy, grey sludge that was once white, fluffy snow resides on Broadmeadow Junior’s playground today. This means that pupils were unable to go outside to play all day!┬áMost children were secretly pleased though as it meant they got to play with their new “wet play time” toys, which were revealed in this morning’s assembly. As you can see they really are fantastic!

A huge thank you to all of the school council and staff at Broadmeadow who turned these wonderful toys from a dream to a reality!
